These colors were selected because they are basic, and in their simplicity they are strong. Green is the color of creation. And God created the heavens and the earth. Red is the color of the blood Jesus shed to reconcile us to the Father. And they pierce His side and blood and water flowed forth. And blue is the color of the sky.
